Bethlehem Youth Basketball is an program designed to help young athletes develop their skills, grow in confidence, and learn the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Bethlehem Youth Basketball began in January of 2022 as a way to provide a sense of normalcy amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Shared by members of Bethlehem's Leadership Team and Gryphon Basketball's Randy DeFeo, we felt passionate about sharing our gym with our community, and especially with young students and families as many other indoor sports programs had paused their operations.
What makes Bethlehem Youth Basketball different is there is no try-outs, no games, just a time to grow in skills and have fun!

2026 Bethlehem Youth Basketball Program Dates
Our 2026 Bethlehem Youth Basketball Program is set to take place from Sunday, January 11th to Sunday, February 15th in our gymnasium followed by a program Pizza Party on February 22nd.
We are excited to announce a growing addition to our program this year. We are offering two sessions of “Parent & Me” for children 3-5 years old. These sessions will run from 11:45-12:30 and 12:35-1:20 and will be assigned at a later time.
Kindergarteners and First Graders (K-1) will be at 1:25-2:10PM.
Second, Third, and Fourth Graders (2-4) will be from 2:15-3:15PM.
During these sessions, your children will not only have the opportunity to participate in basketball clinics, learn various skills, play games, and engage in friendly scrimmages, but they will also experience a devotion led by faith leaders from our area, focusing on character development and Jesus.
Here's the 2026 schedule:
January 11th
January 18th
January 25th
February 1st
February 8th

Additionally, we have February 22nd reserved as alternate days in case it becomes necessary.
The cost to enroll your child in all six clinics is just $95, but please be aware that space is limited, so don't wait to sign up when Registration Opens on
Friday, October 17th!
We will provide all the necessary equipment, so there's no need to bring your own. We kindly request that you provide a water bottle each week, with your child's name clearly written on it. Please note that Bethlehem Lutheran Church cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen equipment.
We are also looking for parents and volunteers to serve in the following capacities:
Head Coach - lead drills and coach players on a team. Former basketball players and experience coaching is a plus!
Assistant Coach - assist head coaches in drills and games. No experience coaching is necessary!
Referee - keep kids safe and help them learn how to play in an organized game. Fouls and violations will include personal fouls, travels, double dribbles, jump balls, etc.
Scorekeeper / Clock - manage the clock for drills and keep score during games.
