  • Youth Connection Group

Youth Connection Group is for all students in Middle School and High School to join together for games, fellowship, and tangible opportunities to grow in faith.

Right now in Youth Connection Group, we are working through a series called “Grace In Everyday Life”, where we take popular art, poems, music, etc and see how we can draw out Christian themes.

  • The Book of Job Connection Group

Our journey through Holy Scripture will begin with the Book of Job, an interesting if convoluted poem about sin and redemption in a pre-Christian setting.  Yes, even Satan gets into the story line.

Last week in Job:  Job does not take kindly to Eliphaz’s suggestion that “blessed is the man that God corrects…” (5:17) and his despair deepens.  Even so, Job does not curse God for his punishment.  Next the second wise man Bildad suggest that “God does not reject a blameless man…” (8:20).  Come, study Job’s response to Bildad (beginning at chapter 9) this Sunday at 10:15 in the nave.  Thanks, Tom
