  • Susan Cinquegrana Memorial Fund (non-restricted)

    Susan made a great impact on so many people through her time as a member and her time as a Lay Minister at Bethlehem. She planned and led confirmation classes, women’s ministry events, OWLS, worship services, guest preachers and so much more. She counseled and prayed with people in their times of need and was always ready and willing to help. To honor Susan and her work, the Susan Cinquegrana Memorial Fund has been established.

  • J.S.M. Worship Center FUND

    Fund was established to honor Joan Scheele Mueller, the wife of one of Bethlehem’s ministers, Rev. Ewald H. Mueller This fund provides for repairs and improvements to the worship facilities including the sanctuary, organ, stained glass windows, carillon, Bibles, hymnals, and other worship appurtenances of the nave and sanctuary, especially if other funds are not available.  

  • The Rev. Ewald H. Mueller Memorial Trust Fund

    The principal of this fund was established by a bequest of 1,000 (one thousand) shares of preferred stock of Avon Products, Inc. from the estate of Rev. Ewald H. Mueller. The principal shall be invested as a perpetual fund. The income from this fund shall be to provide for maintenance and care of the pipe organ and carillon of the church.

  • The Edgar H. and Edna L. Krause Scholarship Fund

    This fund was established by the children of Edgar and Edna Krause in recognition of the many years of membership and faithful attendance at Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church by Edgar and Edna Krause, and of their many years of service to the church resulting from their abiding faith in Jesus Christ. The proceeds of the fund shall be provided as scholarships of at least $1,000 per year to members of Bethlehem who are students at LCMS Seminaries; the recipients shall be designated by the Pastor with the approval of the Board of Elders, or by the Board of Elders in the event of a pastoral vacancy.

  • The Dr. Walter and Mary Ellen Mosmann Music Fund

    This fund was established by Dr. Mosmann as per his will with the purpose to enhance the worship and music life of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church. The proceeds from the interest on the principal may only be used as the principal fund is not to be used. 

  •  Frederick Ottmann Memorial Scholarship Fund

    This fund was established in memory of Bethlehem’s first pastor (1911-1951). This fund, administered by the Pastor and Board of Elders, provides annual grants to members who are preparing for full time church vocations at a Synodical school or at Valparaiso University. Each year, on or about March 17 (the anniversary of Rev. Ottmann’s death), a first-class mailing is sent to the congregation to request gifts for this fund. Grants are usually awarded near the end of the year.

  • The Caring Fund

    This fund was originally established in 2004 by the council based upon the church receiving a an estate gift from a former member who was a single woman who regularly attended church and had worked at a local hospital. The church received the value of her home.  The Caring Fund was thus established. 

    All contributions made to the congregation from any source, including memorial gifts, that have no specific restrictions, shall be applied to this fund and may be used by the congregation to enhance staff effectiveness, building utilization, worship programs and other opportunities to enable successfully completing our mission to “Trust God and care for His people by sharing the good News of Jesus Christ in our world, community, work, church and home”.
