Who is Jesus?

Who is Jesus?  Jesus is ____. How would you finish that sentence? The subject is there, and so is the verb, but what comes next? Everyone has an opinion of who Jesus is.  Everyone has something they could put in the blank, but what would Jesus put in the blank?

This Lent we are going to find out what goes in the blank by looking at how Jesus would answer that question about himself. Come out and find out who Jesus claims to be, and what that could mean for your life. There are no dress codes  and no previous church experience required. Just come as you are and get ready to text in your questions, as we begin a journey to discover what goes in blank.

The season of Lent is one of thoughtful reflection. During this time of the church calendar, Christians ponder the unfolding events that led to Jesus’ condemnation and crucifixion: His triumphal march into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday; His firm words of warning about the events to come; His sham trial, brutal scourging, and horrific crucifixion. No day could be any darker; no travesty more calamitous than the slaying of God’s own Beloved Son. And yet, that’s what we find on Golgotha: our sins demanding His death on a cross to satisfy the Father’s righteous judgment.
